The City of Everson, Washington is home to approximately 2,500 residents.
We are surrounded by rich agricultural soils, snow covered peaks and located only 30 minutes northeast of Bellingham WA and 10 minutes south of the Canadian border.
Everson Walking/Running Trail
What: Construction of a walking/running trail around the Old Evergreen Golf Course
Where: Old Evergreen Golf Course - 413 East Main Street, Everson
Why: Jarrin Olenslager is working on his senior project at Nooksack Valley High School and decided his service would be to give back to the community by assisting in the construction of this new walking/running trail.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
- Donate supplies or money towards the construction of the trail. Need: 2 miles of 6' wide weed barrier; 2,346 cubic yards of bark
- Donate time: Service Days scheduled for July 23rd, 9am-noon; and August 20th, 9am-noon (CANCELLED for August 20th, new date TBD). Wear boots, gloves, jeans, etc. Bring shovels, rakes, wheel barrows, clippers/pruners, hand saws, weed eaters.
