Planning Department
This department is responsible for the full range of land use planning functions within the City. This includes both long-range planning, such as updating the comprehensive land use plan, and short-range planning, which includes review of development proposals. The City Planner works with the Planning Agency and the City Council on issues requiring their action or input.
Rollin Harper of Sehome Planning and Development Services has been assisting the City on planning related projects since the year 2000 and has served as the City Planner since 2005.
Alex Putnam, City Planner, has been with the City since September 8th, 2023.
